It's A Religion; Stupid

If there were ever ever any doubts that the AGW movement is a religion, the below video dispels them. Is it only a matter of time before the imams of the religion of "peace™" commission their own "scientific" hacks (as the warmistas have) to create computer models proving that the prophet Mohammed ascended to heaven from the Dome of the Rock aboard a huge white horse?

Dunno if you saw Monckton's encounter with the little ClimateNazis in Copenhagen. It was priceless.
I don't agree with the man on everything, but he knows how to hold his ground.

The video proves nothing that we haven't already known - powerful lobbying political groups are using everyday folks as their shills, by instilling in them a sense of urgency, catastrophy, and counting on their blind allegiance to further their political goals.

I wish more people could just get "unbiased" about the whole debacle and read up and learn up on the issue properly, so that we could have a reasoned discussion.

Monckton is just as guilty of cherry picking data in this conversation as Greenpeace and the IPCC are in their own conversations. It damages his position, because anyone on the other side could easily impeach several of the claims that he has made (the 30 year sea ice statement is actually true on it's face, but further digging shows that it dipped from normal in the 70's so using that as the base line is not really a fair thing, it is sort of the same thing as the warmists using the depths of the little ice age to start their climate graphs showing warming).

That being said, if more people would just look at the data being produced, I think we would all be a little more apt to relax about the whole thing.

Current warming trend is totally normal, and in the oscillations of the past, totally expected at this stage of this interglacial period. It is orders of magnitude smaller than previous, recent warmings, even within the periods of time that humans were on this planet, and I can't stress enough that it is to be expected at this stage of the current interglacial that we should be warming. It has happened countless times before, and the current warming is a bit less than previous warmings have been at the same stage. My one concern is that if my observations are correct, the previous warmings all were followed by a prolonged Ice Age. So maybe, just maybe, the more CO2 we can put out right now, the better, eh?

Prof. John R. Christy (Univ. of Alabama):
“Satellite data and independent balloon data agree that atmospheric warming trends do not exceed those of the surface. Greenhouse models, on the other hand, demand that atmospheric trend values be 2-3 times greater. We have good reason, therefore, to believe that current climate models greatly overestimate the effects of greenhouse gases. Satellite observations suggest that GH models ignore negative feedbacks, produced by clouds and by water vapor, that diminish the warming effects of carbon dioxide.”

The good news is the "Wayne's World" warmista platform is being exposed in all its overreaching glory.

It's all coming tumbling down.

Merry Christmas!
